Water Conditioning

What is hard water?

Hard water is water containing a high mineral count. Groundwater often percolates through limestone where it picks up calcium and magnesium deposits. Drinking water can also contain trace minerals like iron, manganese, and aluminum. Hard water impacts your home's water system in 2 ways:

  1. Scale deposits from hard water can build up inside in-home water lines. The flow becomes constricted and this can lead to complete blockage of the line.

  2. Hard water damages and shortens the lives of plumbing fixtures and appliances.

How can I resolve hard water issues?

There are two solutions for hard water: scale management systems and whole home water softeners.
